Partnering with the Community Food Bank of New Jersey,
Southern Branch
Our food bank, named after Peggy Ferguson who founded it at St. Mark's, serves many families in the parish and community thanks to the generosity of our parish family. Every third Sunday, a donation basket is placed in front of the altar, and during the holidays, we collect frozen turkeys and non-perishable items. Our mission is to assist local people with food, made possible by our parishioners' generosity and the coordination efforts of SMAS parishioner Robin Husta with the Community Food Bank of NJ.

SEAMAN’S CHURCH INSTITUTE -
Have you been thinking about how you can become involved with the parish’s ministry to the Seamen’s Church Institute,
but you don’t knit or crochet? Well, here are some ideas…
Altar Guild
St. Hilda’s Altar Guild is responsible for the care of the church altar, including ordering supplies, cleaning altar linens, polishing brass and silver, filling oil candles, and setting up for services. Members are divided into rotating teams that work at mutually agreed times. There are no age or gender limitations for membership, and all who feel called to help are welcome to join.
For more information, please speak to our Sacristan Valerie Kozlowski.
Acolytes are members of our church community who participate in ceremonial duties on the altar. There are many things to do like carrying a cross, lighting candles, holding the gospel book, holding torches, and assisting a deacon or priest to set up and clean up at the altar. We are always looking for new people to join. Generally, acolytes are 8 years or older.
For more information contact the church office.
SMAS offers various opportunities for study of the Holy Scriptures, including daily morning prayer online as well as seasonal book studies.
SALA Fellowship - meets monthly from September through May. A parishioner, or group of parishioners, share a "knowing" or passion with others. SALA in the past has included chair yoga, composting in the home, fire safety, craft projects, etc.
A Sunday School committee that included parents, educators from within our parish, a Warden, and clergy reviewed several programs/curriculum. Weaving God's Promises, an online resource with multiple materials, was agreed upon as our Sunday School curriculum. The children attend classes (September through June) during our 9 am service and rejoin their family prior to reception of Holy Communion. The children learn from the Holy Scriptures as well as beliefs, traditions, and practices of the Episcopal Church.
The adult choir here at Saint Mark and All Saints Church is made up of volunteer singers from all walks of life and musical backgrounds. Experience or ability to read music is not necessary. The most important thing that we do is enhance worship through music and have a great time in the process. We genuinely enjoy each other's company. It doesn't matter if you think you're a good singer or not, if you love to sing - join us, we would love to have you!
Donating flowers, candles or bulletins are three ways to honor a loved one or commemorate a special event while helping the church. There are yearly sign-ups for each or you may contact Winnie Gaupp or call the church office at 609-652-6222
Marriage is a happy time in the life. Traditionally, marriages at our church are preformed for parishoners and their families. The couple must meet with clergy to participate in pre-marriage counseling before the event. We ask the couples to try to plan at least 6 months in advance to ensure the date is available.

Working in teams of two, ushers greet parishioners and guests at the entrance of the sanctuary, distribute service bulletins and provide assistance.
